Awesome game btw. Here's my quick writeup about it from another site:

I actually never got an email, just checked my B.Net account and saw Starcraft 2 Beta in my list of games. So log in and check, you never know.

Played a bunch last night...fucking awesome game, I love all the improvements they've made to the UI, and it runs as smoothly as the original ever did. The control groups system in particular is really sweet now. You can put as many units into each control group as you like, as in the C&C series, but you're still able to see all the unit portraits, and if there are too many unit portraits to display at once (though it can still display like 30 at a time), there are scroll arrows so you can scroll up and down. Also, there's a little bar above the unit window that shows clickable icons of all of your control groups and what types of units are in them.

A lot of the original abilities and powers are back, and tons of new ones of course (the Zerg in particular have about twice as many buildings as they did before), and now there's a lot of synergies between those powers/abilities and units. It's really cool. Also, Warp Rays (now called Void Rays) are secks. I leveled an entire Terran base in less than a minute with about 10 of them. XD

I probably won't be playing a whole lot though. I don't know anyone else who got in, so I have no one to play with. Plus it's pretty limited...all the game modes are locked except multiplayer of course, and even that's limited, since there are only small 2 or 4 player maps so far. The only available game modes are 1v1, 2v2, and 4 player FFA.

Another reason is that there seems to be a TON of newbs who got in. A lot of these guys seem like they've never touched an RTS before. It's probably all those WoW accounts that are getting free opt-ins. I've been pwning nubs left and right...gets a little old, to be honest. Those five Stalkers I sent in were supposed to scout and maybe kill some SCVs, not win the whole match!

I did lose a 4 player FFA though to a guy playing Protoss. 13 years later and people are still massing Carriers all day long.

THIS GAME HAS BEEN OUT FOR now the 3rd DAY! I have done nothing but work and play this game since the release. I have ate one pork chop, one potato, a bag of chips, a double cheeseburger from carls jr. around 4 pizza sticks and half a snikers bar. I have drank water somewhat regularly but thats it since the release of SC2. OMFG THIS GAME IS AWESOME and it is turning out to be exactly like I thought it would which is kinda dissa... well really fuckin cool cause I liked my idears.

You should've just downloaded it directly from Battle.net~ Or do they not allow that internationally yet?

I don't even want physical copies of my games anymore. Just takes up space, and all I want is the game itself.
